Not Quite Harvest

This photo is an improvement over the one I took earlier this year. It’s true that this moon is much closer to being full – and while this is great because it is reflecting more light from the sun, it is also not so great because it is reflecting more light from the sun (and can lead to something of a wash out). In this case, I actually locked my mirror up and used a tripod, which went a long way to helping me stabilize the camera enough to capture some of the details of the moon. Again, this is a work in progress – but I’m pretty happy with the results so far.
