The Harpist

This gentleman was strumming away when my wife and I visited Old Québec City in May of 2005. He looked so at home in the middle of the tourists, and yet seemed very separate from them. It was more than his music. It was him. He seemed to be from nowhere and everywhere.

Why Contact 2006?
I don’t have much of a logical rationalization for this one.
I just had a feeling when I looked at this gentleman that he was an anomaly. He was different from everyone that was walking around him as he played alone in a crowd.
And yet, it seems that there are pieces of us all in his silent concentration. In his vast expanse of hair and his careful hands.
