‘It was October 2004. The Centennial Ridges Trail in Algonquin Park promised some wonderful colour, and a cliff overlooking Whitefish Lake for a possibly spectacular sunset. The day was clear, and the air was cool. Along the way there is a beaver pond. There were evergreens all around as well as deciduous trees changing colour. This Red Maple branch was an awesome foregwound with which to show the beauty of fall. Even in death, there is beauty.
