I have said many times to many people that I don’t really like department store baby photos. The weird poses always make me cringe. If you’re going to take a picture of an infant, take it in such a way that is natural. Being held? Good. Lying down? Also good. Propped up like some weird statue? Not so good (to me). This photo was taken a week after this child was born. She was very cooperative once the flash went off the first time (bounced off the ceiling), and was content to lie there, fascinated by the strange giant clicking machine.
