I was working on the garden when I heard the telltale sounds of an industrious little creature hard at work on the maple tree in my front yard. Sometimes it\’s a bit difficult to find the source of the noise (some of the trees are huge) – but this little downy woodpecker had left a pretty big mess on the sidewalk beneath the “work site” – and was on break when I captured this image.
