Near the south-west corner of La Citadelle in Québec City is a large gun manufactured by Krupp, a Prussian company (interesting origin for a cannon on Canadian soil) that has since re-branded and now makes coffee machines. In any case, old machines of war (particularly projectile launchers) are interesting because of how intricate some of the control mechanisms are – seeing a hand-wheel on anything that can punch a hole through a wall is kind of amusing to me.
