Near my house during this time of the year, the salmon make their run up the river. There are a number of weirs on the lower part of the Humber, and the intrepid fish have to “climb the ladders” to get to where they need to go. With the water levels higher today due to a rainfall during the night, the water is more frothy than normal, so it\’s actually a bit more challenging to track the salmon as they make their approach.

While this isn’t quite the shot I was looking for, it is one of my clearest to date!
